On entering Karmelle’s Rotary Capping Machine containers are queued up and efficiently introduced to a star wheel, which transitions bottles into the rotating capping station. Karmelle’s innovative star wheel system indexes each bottle into position, allowing the cap to be securely screwed on as the capping system rotates. Once capped, the container exits the machine through a secondary star wheel, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Karmelle’s Rotary Capping Machine benefits from an automated cap delivery and positioning system. Caps are stored in a low-level hopper that continuously feeds them into an elevated sorting drum. To help maintain operational efficiency, the hopper includes a low-level visual alarm that alerts operators when it’s time to refill.
The elevated sorting drum angles the caps upside down, guiding them into a discharge chute where they are properly oriented. This streamlined process ensures that inner caps are delivered to a magazine, ready to be placed onto containers as they move through the system. Just before each container enters the pressing mechanism, caps are securely closed with precision.
