Experienced Fabricator Welder / Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: Negotioable
Employment Status: Permanent, Full-Time.
About the Role:
Karmelle Ltd is offering a fantastic opportunity for a qualified, experienced Fabricator Welder/Sheet metal worker to join our dynamic team. This is a day role based in our premises in Huddersfield.
Main Job tasks, responsibilities & skills :
Manufacture frames and products for a variety of packaging machines Karmelle Ltd manufacture. We build high quality, standard and custom Liquid Filling, Capping and Labelling machines, available on their own or as turnkey projects. We need a skilled Fabricator welder/Sheet metal worker to join our team and be fully responsible for all fabrication tasks.
- Reading engineering drawings
- Producing specialist equipment for our products neatly and efficiently
The ideal candidate:
- Experience of working with Stainless Steel ESSENTIAL
- Proven background in fabrication and welding preferably having served a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Ability to work under minimal supervision to strict deadlines essential
- Be Flexible and work overtime if required

Fabrication Apprentice
Are you a school-leaver or learner looking for a route into engineering? Karmelle are recruiting for a fabrication apprentice. Working alongside our experienced team, you will learn to manufacture frames, cabinets, pipework and components for our high-quality liquid packaging equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and progress in a supportive workshop environment.

Experienced Centre Lathe Turner
Job type: Full time, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Location: Huddersfield, HD1 3RR.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Centre Lathe Turner to join Karmelle Ltd – a UK based company with over 30 years of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of custom built liquid filling & capping machines and, more recently, labelling machines.
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in conventional Centre Lathe Turning, Milling & Drilling gained in a small “Production” environment.
Ideally apprentice trained as a Machinist.
Experience of working with stainless steel essential
Day to day duties
To manufacture / machine small batches of various sized products from engineering drawings with the minimum of supervision.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
To work with the minimum of supervision using own initiative
Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Be capable of setting up jobs of various sizes
Overtime working may be required, positive attitude to this, especially when involving short notice
Be responsible for the tidiness and control of your own working area
Be responsible for communicating to the machine shop supervision any slippages associated with the work being carried out
Be responsible for completing the inspection of the individual items as per the specified requirement
Be capable of setting up Centre Lathes, Mills, Drills
Ensure that you are aware of and work to procedures and work instructions within the quality
