Fancy a career in manufacturing? We’re looking for apprentice machinists and mechanical engineers to join our 21-strong team.

Here at Karmelle, we design and manufacture high-quality machinery for the food & drink, pharmaceutical, chemical and oil industries. Every system is built and assembled in our well-equipped Huddersfield workshop, before being installed by our service engineers.
Established over 30 years ago, Karmelle have a reputation for quality and reliability. Our customer-base includes industry leading companies, based in both the UK, and overseas.
About the role
As our apprentice, you’ll attend college and train alongside experienced machinists, engineers, designers, electricians and welders, acquiring the skills necessary for a career in manufacturing. We believe that a company, like a machine, is only as good as the sum of its parts – and do everything we can to help our team grow.
- How to operate manual and CNC machines
- How to work with mechanics, pneumatics and electrics
- How to read technical drawings
The Karmelle team are a friendly bunch, and often socialise together – whether it’s a trip to the races, or the annual Christmas meal. Your working hours will be 07.30 – 16.30 from Monday to Thursday, with an early finish of 12.30 every Friday.
We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals, aged between 16 and 21. You should be interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing, and willing to attend college as part of your training.
