This privacy policy explains how Karmelle Ltd, as a data controller, collects and uses your personal information after you make an enquiry, place an order with us, supply us with a product or service, or use our website.

Karmelle Ltd (the company) operates from one site in West Yorkshire, manufacturing, supplying and commissioning bespoke liquid filling, capping and labelling machinery.

Information we collect

Karmelle’s target audience, suppliers and customers are other businesses, and as such we operate on a B2B level. We collect, process and retain personal information about corporate contacts when they:

• Make a verbal, telephone or email enquiry
• Request a quote
• Enter into a sales transaction
• Receive a lead or prospect call, when consent has been given to make contact

Karmelle’s website also uses cookies, which collect and process certain data and information relating to you and your use of this site. This includes:

• Details of visits to our website and the pages that are accessed – including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data and other communication data that may assist us in understanding how visitors use this website.
• Information that visitors provide to us as a result of filling in forms on our website, such as when a visitor makes an enquiry.

Personal information collected and retained by the company usually includes:

• Preferred contact number (this may include personal telephone number if the contact chooses to make this a contact number.)
• Company/Customer name

Information collected and retained for credit facilities will be collected by account application form, and consented to by an authorised company employee or officer. This will include business/company bank account details, administrative contact points, trade references, quality management and Health, Safety and Environmental information.

How will we use this information

Karmelle will use the information collected for the following purposes:

• To provide you with information, as requested, relating to our products or our services
• To meet our contractual obligations to you
• To notify you about any changes to our privacy policy
• Direct marketing: to provide you with information on other products that we feel may be of interest to you (our basis for doing so is ‘legitimate interest’.)

We use information that is automatically collected from website visits to analyse its performance.

How we store this information

We will always take all reasonable precautions to ensure that your data remains safe, and is handled in accordance with this privacy policy.

Your details are strictly private, and are not communicated to or shared with any external third party business source without your consent. Consent may be required in order to communicate on a broader project basis, when we are required to deliver data, specifications or contractual instructions to a trusted third party. In these circumstances, approval and consent will always be requested before contact information is released or shared.

Personal data is stored on our secure server, filed in a secure location, or stored on the secure servers of these approved third parties.

Transfer of data over the internet can never be entirely secure, if you send us information by email or via our website (or other means) you do so at your own risk. We cannot be responsible for any loss of profits, costs or expenses, harm to reputation or damages caused by the information you submit by these means.

We will not share your information with external sales or marketing agencies.

How long will we retain your information?

We will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to meet the purposes for which it was collected.

Customers:

Karmelle will retain general company records, along as the customer is still using the company services. We will ensure that information relating to individual points-of-contact is current and relevant – and update, replace or remove details as necessary.

Karmelle are required to keep invoices for six years after companies cease to be a customer.

Enquiries:

Due to the long-term nature of the projects we work on, we will also retain enquiry data for six years (following our last contact with a company).

Access to information

You have the right to request a copy of the data that we hold about you at any time. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please contact us using the details below.

We want to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. As a result may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

You may also, at any time, request that we delete any personal data that we hold on you.

Karmelle will share marketing or technical information directly with you, unless you ask us not to. If it is likely to be of interest and useful to your business. Our basis for doing so is ‘legitimate interest‘.
